Couple tied up in home invasion

HOME invaders tied up and threatened a couple inside their Gordon home this morning.

Police say the daughter of the two victims arrived at their Knoke Avenue house at about 9.30am to find her parents bound with duct tape. The couple were not injured.

A man was seen leaving the residence shortly before this time, and fleeing on foot along Jim Pike Avenue. The man was described as approximately 30 years of age with a dark, shaved head, dark skin, and wearing a black hooded jumper with jeans.

A second offender is described as approximately 6’5” (196cm) tall with a big build, wearing a balaclava, blue shirt, dark blue trousers and black work boots.

Police believe both men fled the house on foot.

A late-model blue sedan was also seen in the area being driven by another man and is suspected to be involved.

Anyone who may have seen these men or a vehicle in the area, or witnessed suspicious behaviour in Gordon around this time, or who may have information, can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
