Drink driver four times the limit

A MAN will face court today after he was caught driving last night with more than four times the legally allowed blood-alcohol level.

Police afp cops

Police received reports of a vehicle driving erratically along Hindmarsh Drive in Phillip at around 9.50pm last night.

Officers arrived to find the vehicle parked on the side of nearby Corinna Street and the driver acting aggressively towards members of the public.

Breath testing at Woden Police Station revealed a blood-alcohol level of 0.211. Police have expressed outrage at the driver’s actions.

The man’s driver’s licence was immediately suspended for 90 days and he was charged with driving with a prescribed concentration of alcohol. He will face ACT Magistrates Court later today.
