Drive-by brick attacks on 11 cars

Police-afp-cops-0021-175x175ELEVEN vehicles had windscreens and windows smashed by house bricks in a wave of vandalism in Forde and Bonner yesterday prompting police to investigate an outbreak of  damaged cars over the past month in Dunlop, Macgregor, Forde and Bonner.

One witness is reported to have told police they saw a vehicle driving along Francis Forde Boulevard with a passenger throwing bricks at parked cars.

Since March 1 there have been about 30 reports of damaged vehicles, mostly around the Dunlop and Macgregor areas. Vehicles have had their windscreens smashed, some received panel damage with blunt objects and some had their tyre valves cut.

Police believe the incidents are linked and are asking residents who may see suspicious activity resulting in damage to vehicles to call 1800 333000 or via crimestoppers.com.au.
