Driver flees after taxi hit-run

POLICE are seeking witnesses to an accident yesterday where a driver hit a taxi and fleed the scene. 

Around 5.20pm, a Canberra Cabs Ford station wagon was travelling south on Adelaide Avenue, near Hughes, being followed by a green Mitsubishi Triton utility.

The utility collided with the rear of the taxi, causing significant damage. The driver of the utility left the scene without providing details to the other driver.

Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
