Elderly man goes missing

POLICE are searching for a 69-year-old man who went missing from The Canberra Hospital today.

The man, known as ‘Mijo’ or ‘Michael’, walked out of the hospital around 11.50am, when he was in the process of being assessed by hospital staff.

Mijo is described as 178cm (5’10”) tall, and weighs about 90kg. He has olive skin and grey, thinning hair. When he left the hospital he was wearing a grey hooded jumper and brown slippers.

There are serious concerns for Michael’s welfare.

Anyone who may have seen a man matching this description can call ACT Policing on 131 444.
