Far-reaching exhibition at Belconnen

“100 Years in Creating” is the rather long-reaching title of an exhibition by participants in the Belconnen Community Centre’s Open Art Program, running until next week.

According to the program officer at the gallery, Ben Drysdale, this “amazing series of artworks, by amazing people,” is an exhibition that explores our identity through individual artists’ imagery of what Canberra means, thus celebrating our Centenary.bcs

Work will exhibit art from the Open Art Program which has numerous classes around the ACT to promote good mental health through creative expression.

Art work will include painting and drawing, printmaking, collage, sculpture, pottery, mosaics as well as a selection of kites.

gallery@bcs presents “100 Years In Creating” until June 21 at Belconnen Community Centre, Swanson Crt Belconnen, 9am-4:30pm Mon-Fri. Official Opening Tuesday, June 18 at 2:30pm, all welcome.
