Flynn blaze sparked by heater

A BLAZE sparked by an electric heater has caused $200,000 damage to a Flynn house early this morning. fire

Firefighters say two adults, two children and a dog were safely self evacuated from the three bedroom property on Bird Street around 1.48am, with no injuries reported.

The fire reportedly started in an electric heater and spread through the flat roof space, with smoke and heat damage estimated at $200,000.

Three fire pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van and two commanders extinguished the fire and searched for any hot spots throughout the house.

There was no damage to neighbouring properties.
