POLICE are trying to identify a man with an “Australian accent” who robbed an IGA supermarket in Chapman early this morning armed with a gun.
The gunman entered the IGA on Perry Street, Chapman, at about 6.20 this morning, demanded cash and assaulted one staff member.
The offender fled with a sum of cash from the cash register. An IGA employee was assaulted during the incident.
The man was described as about 5’11” (181cm) in height, with a solid build. He was wearing a dark green zip-up jacket and grey Adidas tracksuit pants with white stripes down each side.
