Harrison blaze causes $450k damage

A house fire in Harrison has caused over $450,000 worth of damage in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze on Mapleton Avenue at 1.39am, which spread to the roof of the home, causing extensive damage.

Four people inside the home escaped without injury and no neighbouring properties were damaged.

Three pumpers, a breathing apparatus van, a CAFS unit and two Command Officers were on scene.

The cause of the blaze is unknown and routine fire investigations will be carried out.
