Houses raided over Gungahlin gunshots

DETECTIVES and members of the police Specialist Response Group swooped on three houses this morning with search warrants as investigations continue into who fired four bullets into a Gungahlin tattoo parlour’s shopfront last week.

police copsTwo houses in Sternberg Crescent, Wanniassa and one in Hardwicke Place, Kambah were the targets of simultaneous raids at about 6am this morning, which police say were aimed at finding the gun that was used to shoot the the tattoo parlour.

Police investigators spent all day searching the three homes and seized various items but did not find a firearm.

Yesterday police announced that multiple witnesses had reported seeing a dark coloured utility on Anthony Rolfe Avenue, near the tattoo parlour, at the time of the incident.

Acting on information received following a second appeal for information yesterday, police were able to identify the three houses that were searched this morning.

Investigations are ongoing.
