Human brochure draws to a close

A GROUP of 250 online socialites will turn up in Canberra this weekend to share their experiences of the capital on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

This weekend’s group are among 500 visitors invited to be part of Australian Capital Tourism’s “Human Brochure”, following the first 250 who came to town on the weekend of October 26-28 last year.

This weekend’s itinerary includes the National Arboretum, the Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia, a behind-the-scenes tour of the National Library, a brunch and tour of the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House and an adventure race around Lake Burley Griffin.

On the first “Human Brochure” weekend, the visitors shared 4339 tweets, 2762 Instagram photos and 1100 Facebook posts which collectively reached over 4.2 million people, “with 92 per cent of the sentiment positive,” according to Australian Capital Tourism.

Anyone can follow the visitors on www.humanbrochure.com.au or on Twitter using the hashtag #HumanBrochure.
