Indie-guitarists crack the mould

SONGWRITER Sebastian Field’s “Lemon on Your Lover, ”  is the new single by Canberra ‘indie-guitar futurists’, Cracked Actor.

crackedThey’re saying that the  track puts “an erotic and hypnotic spin on the band’s particular brand of doom-pop.”

A follow-up to  their EP “Solar Driftwood”, it also heralds their  forthcoming full-length album, “Iconoclast”.

Cracked Actor— Sebastian Field, Grahame Thompson, Nick Delatovic and Jordan Rodgers—have spent several years in the thick of the ACT music scene. “Solar Driftwood” was produced in conjunction with Canberra’s whiz kid sound engineer Sam King and after that, the band began writing and working on new material for  “Iconoclast,” which they hope takes  its “unique intersection between technology and humanity to its logical conclusion”.

Cracked Actor, at the White Eagle Polish Club, 38 David St, Turner  7:30pm Friday Nov 1. Tickets at the door, $5.
