FLEXIBLE Canberra Girls Grammar School student Aisha Patterson has been named Australian Youth Yoga Champion for 2013. 

Representing Canberra, year eight student Aisha placed first in the Youth Division of the 2013 Australian National Yoga Asana Championship in Melbourne on the weekend.

“We are very proud of her as she has been training extremely hard, especially in the summer holidays, in order to get to this point,” says Aisha’s mum Lisa Patterson.

Aisha will now represent Australia in the International Championships in June which will be held in the United States.

Performances in the annual Yoga Asana Championship are physically demanding and competitors are judged on the perfection of the pose, its difficulty, poise and composure.
