NEW traffic arrangements will be put in place on the Majura Parkway as Territory and Municipal Services continue to construct the 11.5 kilometre road.
Three new diversions will be sign-posted over the next week, affecting traffic on Majura Road and Morshead Drive.
From Wednesday November 27 until late 2014, all traffic on the northern section of Majura Road, up until Range Lane, will be diverted to a section of the newly completed Majura Parkway.
Drivers on Morshead Drive between Pialligo Avenue and Fairbairn Avenue will be diverted onto a temporary side road until 2015, to allow the construction of a new bridge across Fairbairn Avenue.
Pedestrians and cyclists in the area of the Morshead Drive-Pialligo Avenue intersection will also be redirected until the construction of a new shared user path, due to be completed on Friday, December 6.
Director of Roads ACT Tony Gill said the changes will be clearly sign-posted and he advised road users to check the Majura Parkway website each day for traffic updates.
