Man crashes stolen vehicle into police car

A 20-year-old Conder man who rammed a stolen car into a police vehicle will face court this morning.

About 10.15pm last night a white Nissan Navara was stolen from a car park in Phillip.

A short time later police spotted the car and tried to stop it in Dundas Court, Phillip. The man driving reversed the car into the front of the police car then fled the area.

The man was found later and arrested. He has been charged with Ride/Drive Motor Vehicle without Consent. Police will oppose bail when he faces the ACT Magistrates Court today.
