Pizza delivery driver assaulted in Kambah

POLICE are searching for a man who assaulted a pizza driver in Kambah on Thursday night.

Around 9.15pm, the Domino’s Pizza driver delivered a pizza to an address in Carleton Crescent, Kambah and while returning to his car, was approached by a man.

The man attempted to grab the delivery drivers’ money bag before striking him in the face.

After assaulting the delivery driver the offender fled empty-handed.  Officers from Tuggeranong General Duties and the AFP Specialist Response Group Dog Team searched the area but were unable to find the man.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 170cm (5’7”) tall with a medium build and a scruffy grey beard.  At the time of the attempted robbery he was wearing a dark colored “driza-bone” type jacket and white sneakers.
