Police officer attacked at hospital

POLICE used capsicum spray on a homeless man after he attacked an officer at the Canberra Hospital on Friday night. 

The 37 year old alleged offender had been taken to The Canberra Hospital for emergency treatment, but following the procedure he lashed out at a police officer, causing injury to his face.

Police were forced to use capsicum spray during the disturbance.

The man was arrested and will face court at a later date.
