A Canberra Centenary event, “Art School Anecdote” is directed by international artists Neil Bromwich and Zoe Walker, who plan to  shine a light on the mythologies, stories and anecdotes associated with the school over the past 30 years.

Walker and Bromwich, collaborating  with Canberra Contemporary Art Space and Arts ACT, have worked closely with students, staff and a range of artists to create a quirky  performance event.

“Past and current students and staff are especially welcome to be part of this interactive event, and reminisce with us,” said Zoe Walker.

A sculptural stage has been specially created for this event, featuring an archive of art works from the School’s past and present, and has been inspired by the work of Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahoney.

The event will also feature performances from local rock’n’roll band The King Hits, and garage swamp rockers Bad Pharmer.

“Art School Anecdote,” Central Courtyard, ANU School of Art, Ellery Crescent, Acton, 4pm – 8pm (performances from 6pm), Friday, March 22. All welcome. Free event.
