Seselja wins Senate battle

FORMER Opposition Leader Zed Seselja has been confirmed as the Canberra Liberal Party’s Senate candidate, after a meeting was held today to settle the bitter preselection battle.

More than 300 party members voted against the bid by the supporters of the incumbent Gary Humphries to re-open the preselection.

Mr Seselja beat Senator Humphries in the preselection ballot in February but the result was challenged by party members.
