We have asked some of the confirmed skaters for their pick for the winner of the Australian Championship.

The event is the Skateboarding Australia Pro/Am Invitational Australian Championship at Belconnen Skatepark, which rejoices under the name “Belcopalooza”.

A  Centenary of Canberra event, Belcopalooza will showcase the cream of the crop in Australian amateur and professional skateboarders, at what the organisers are justly billing “Australia’s biggest and best outdoor skateboard park – Belconnen”.

The event will see the crowning of the 2013 Skateboarding Australia Pro/Am Australian Champion and also bring together the nation’s elite bowl shredders to battle it out in for $18,000 in total prize money.

The judges will be QLD’s Jim Dandy as head judge, assisted by ‘nollie’ king Boura of Fyshwick,  Sydney’s Darren Kaehne, and Canberra’s Jim Fowlie.

The schedule is below:

9am: Practice for registered competitors only

11am: Heats – Jam format, 4 skaters per 6 minute jam – Top 12 advance to Finals

2pm: Finals – Jam format, 3 skaters per 8 minute jam

3pm: Bowl Jam – Registered / Invited skaters only

3.30pm: Presentations

*In the event of a COMPLETE RAINOUT, we have Sunday October 6 booked as a a back-up day with schedule commencing as above from 9am.
