NEWS from the very pleased and relieved Centenary of Canberra office that crowds braved the Hobart cold to watch The Skywhale alongside the Ryoji Ikeda light installation ‘Spectra,’ part of at the “Dark Mofo” festival.
Relieved, in part to see the beauteous Skywhale once more proving its supremacy in the skies but also, no doubt, that the whole exercise went off smoothly.
Two days ago, around seven people were taken to hospital after suffering seizures at another “Dark Mofo” event, the “psychedelic architecture” light installation, “ ZEE,” involving artificial fog, strobe lighting and surround sound.
As far as “CityNews” can make out, the only damage involved in the Skywhale has been to the hip pockets of taxpayers.
