Teen arrested after school stabbing

POLICE have arrested a 15 year old boy after an alleged stabbing at a Queanbeyan High School yesterday.

Just before 1pm police were called to Karabar High School following reports that a teenage boy had been stabbed.

A 16-year-old boy was found with suffering multiple stab wounds to the abdomen and thigh.

He was taken to Canberra Hospital for treatment where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The 15-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Queanbeyan Police Station.

He was later charged with wound person with intent to cause serious bodily harm and will appear in Queanbeyan Children’s Court today.
