Teen stabbed in Civic brawl

POLICE are investigating the stabbing of an 18-year-old man during a large fight opposite King O’Malley’s pub in Civic early on Saturday morning.

Police say the fight took place at around 1.15am and involved up to 20 people.

The 18-year-old man received lacerations to his arms, chest and head, and was taken to The Canberra Hospital for medical treatment. He is in a stable condition.

ACT Policing City Patrol responded to the incident and conducted a search of the nearby area. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing.
