ARIA award winning rock band The Living End will headline Summernats in January, as the car festival looks to “revamp” its music line-up.
Summernats Co-owner Andy Lopez says the festival is looking to continue the “great standard” of high profile Australian music set by last year’s headliners, The Hilltop Hoods.
“Rock ‘n’ roll and tough cars have a lot in common,” The Living End band member Scott Owen says. “They both turn the adrenalin up to 11! We’re looking forward to bringing them together this summer in Canberra for Summernats.”
The festival will also mix things up for Saturday night’s feature act with electro house chart toppers “The Potbelleez.” The Irish-Australian dance trio have many high profile hits including ‘Don’t Hold Back’ and ‘Are You With Me’.
“Organisers are excited about the flavour The Potbelleez will bring to the event,” Lopez says.
Summernats 27 will be held at Exhibition Park in Canberra from the 2nd – 5th January 2014. For more information and ticket prices, visit the website at www.summernats.com.au.
