FOR GOOD Food Month, Shaw Vineyard Estate is getting behind an unusual celebration in the form of actor Sylvia Keays’ idiosyncratic one-woman show, “Blind Tasting”.
Written and directed by Paul Gilchrist, it combines the sensory pleasures of theatrical performance and wine—“part performance/part wine-tasting”.
Already seen at The Ensemble Theatre in Sydney and at the 2012 Adelaide and Melbourne Fringe Festivals, “Blind Tasting” has been touring wineries, restaurants and theatres around the country.
Keays plays Sophie, who talks, sells and drinks wine, discovering in each glass a different truth.
The evening includes a pre-show tasting of Shaw’s wines from 6pm before the show starts.
“Blind Tasting”, at The Street Theatre, 7pm, Friday, October 18 only, bookings to 6247 1223 or thestreet.org.au
