Ms Gallagher says since the successful open day, which attracted 15,000 people, there has been a “steady stream of visitors.”

“We have had visitors from all over the world, ranging from Sydney to asfar away as France and Brazil,” Ms Gallagher says.

“There are many things for people to experience at the Arboretum whether they be enjoying the panoramic views of the city, learning about the forests in the Village Centre’s interactive displays, taking a walk along the guided trails, getting tips on what plants to grow from ACTEW Water’s Discovery Garden or visiting the miniature forest of the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection.”

The Arboretum is open seven days a week every day of the year except for Christmas Day. The Village Centre is open 9 am-4 pm daily.
