Two service stations robbed by knifepoint

POLICE are searching for two men who allegedly robbed two service stations by knifepoint overnight.

About 11.55pm, two men entered the Giralang 7-Eleven armed with knives. They threatened the staff member, demanding cash and cigarettes.

The staff member complied, with the offenders fleeing on foot in the direction Giralang Primary School.

About 1.35am this morning the Calwell Woolworths service station was robbed in similar circumstances. On this occasion the offenders stole cigarettes and a mobile phone. They fled on foot toward Calwell Tavern.

AFP Forensic Services have analysed both crime scenes. Nobody was injured in either incident.
