Witnesses sought to Kambah home invasion

A 73-YEAR-OLD Kambah man was assaulted and robbed in a home invasion early this morning.

Police say two men entered the house in Boddington Crescent between 1.25am and 1.55am today and assaulted the man in his bedroom before demanding money several times.

The men left shortly after with the man’s wallet, and the victim was taken to The Canberra Hospital with minor injuries.

According to police, there is nothing at this stage to suggest any link between this morning’s incident and a home invasion in Gordon last Monday morning.

Police would like to speak with anyone who was traveling along Boddington Crescent, Kambah between 1am and 2am this morning, or who may have recently seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area.

Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation may contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
