Witnesses sought to Higgins car crash

POLICE are seeking witnesses to a car crash in Higgins yesterday afternoon, where a driver had to be cut free from wreckage. 

At 3.30pm a silver Hyundai Accent was driving north bound down Kingsford Smith Drive, Higgins when it collided into a light pole near the intersection of Wirraway Crescent.

The occupant of the vehicle was cut free by firefighters and taken to The Canberra Hospital.

Police are urging witnesses who were in the area to come forward and provide information to police.

In particular police would like to speak to the driver of yellow sports car with a rear spoiler, or anyone who may have seen this car in the area at the time of the collision.
