Woman attacks, robs female driver

POLICE are calling for witnesses after a woman attacked and robbed a female driver in a Phillip car park yesterday. 

Around 11.35am,  the victim was parking her car on Furzer Street when she was approached by the woman who opened the driver’s side door and started punching her.

The offender stole a necklace from the woman before a man intervened and assisted the female victim.

The offender was last seen driving away in a silver Holden Astra.

Police would like to speak to man who intervened, who may be able to assist with the investigation into the assault. He is asked to contact Woden Police Station on 6256 7777.

Anyone who witnessed the assault in Phillip yesterday morning is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or viawww.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
