A WOMAN is in custody after a man was shot in McKellar late this morning.
Police were called to a house in Tipping Place at about 11.30am today after receiving reports of a gun being fired.
Officers found a 39-year-old man outside with a wound to his shoulder, which they believed to be from a gunshot. He was taken to The Canberra Hospital.
A rifle was recovered from the scene and is undergoing forensic analysis.
