INTENSIVE care paramedics helped evacuate a 37-year-old woman from her burning house in Nicholls late last night.
The woman was treated for minor smoke inhalation at the scene before being taken to Calvary Hospital.
Three ACT Fire and Rescue pumpers, a breathing apparatus van and a command officer arrived at the scene around 11.30pm and extinguished the fire shortly after.
Fire crews also rescued a dog from the blaze.
The house sustained significant damage but there was no damage to neighbouring properties.
Police will investigate the cause of the fire.
