Youth festival at Lanyon

Youth-jumpingAS part of National Youth Week 2013 the Lanyon Youth Festival is being staged by the YWCA of Canberra.

It will include free live music, a barbecue to be served in the Lanyon Community Café and a display of artwork and photography by young people from the local community.

The festival has been put together by YWCA of Canberra youth workers and young people from the local community and will celebrate the talents and contributions of young people in our local community, and offer them access to live music in a safe and supervised environment.

The YWCA offers a range of program and activities for young people between 12 and  25 years in the Lanyon and south Tuggeranong region, with the aim of engaging and linking vulnerable young people to relevant services.

Lanyon Youth Festival, Mura Lanyon Youth and Community Centre, Sidney Nolan Street, Conder, 3pm to 9pm, Friday,  April 12 from 3pm.
