24 children exposed to sulphuric acid at Burgman Anglican School

Firefighters and intensive care paramedics are on scene at the Burgmann Anglican School, Valley Avenue, Gungahlin following a spill in the science laboratory.

ACT Fire & Rescue has contained the small spill.

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics are assessing 24 patients with sulphuric acid exposure.

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics have taken 13 students to hospital with minor injuries.

Five have been taken to Calvary Hospital for further assessment and eight to The Canberra Hospital for further assessment.
