$70,000 for innovation administration

Chief Minister Katy Gallagher.

CHIEF Minister Gallagher has announced ACT Government funding to run $300,000 in business contributions to invest in local companies under the Griffin Accelerator Program.

Ms Gallagher made the $70,000 commitment this morning at the launch of the first “innovation showcase” for companies that previously received venture capital through ANU Connect Ventures, held at the ANU Commons building.

“Canberra businesses perform very well in investment markets and this innovation showcase provides an excellent insight into a range of local innovations and helps to highlight companies that specialise in technologies including imaging, small cell networking, water recycling, drug targeting, the treatment of diabetes, eHealth, and online management of props and costumes,” the Chief Minister said.

12 local businesses have each contributed $25,000 to the Griffin Accelerator program.
