ACT top pick for thousands of students

MORE than 10,000 new students are expected to study at Canberra universities this year, as the main round of university offers begins today.  school1

According to the University Admissions Centre, the University of Canberra will welcome over 8,000 new students (a 3.77 per cent rise on last year) undertaking a range of courses including education, nursing, architecture and sports coaching.

The Australian National University has offered places to more than 3,000 new students with the most popular courses being law, science and their new suite of language courses.

The Australian Catholic University will have 350 new students this year, with the most popular courses being education, nursing and social welfare, and the UNSW Canberra campus at ADFA will welcome 379 students completing engineering, arts and science courses and Charles Sturt University continues to provide their popular Philosophy course to their 100 plus students studying at their campus in Canberra.

Final offers will be made to students who have not received their offers in the main round, on January 31. For more information please contact the University Admissions Centre via www.uac.edu.au.
