ACT Policing has arrested a 19-year-old Torrens man for an attempted burglary at Kaleen on 18 June and theft at Phillip on 19 June.
Around 1.30am, Wednesday, 18 June, a white van entered the car park of the Kaleen Club, Georgina Crescent, Kaleen and reversed into a fenced off outdoor smoking area. The driver and passenger attempted to break into the club without success. The event was captured on CCTV footage.
Around 5.30am, Thursday, 19 June, the same man smashed the glass entry door to Tyre Plus on Botany Street, Phillip stealing a black Commodore and a sum of cash.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 21 June) charged with attempt aggravated burglary, burglary and theft.
