POLICE are searching for a man who stole a car with a seven-month-old baby inside this afternoon.
The child’s mother went to the assistance of the man who appeared to have broken down at a Gungahlin address about 2pm.
The man, described as having a slim build, Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s, wearing white runners and a black baseball cap, jumped into her car and took off, with her son inside.
The car was later found abandoned with the baby inside “safe and well.”
Anyone with information should call 131 444.
