“THE Shearer That Could Have Been” is the Griffyn Ensemble’s next show. Billed as “a spooky night of spine-chilling music and paranormal activity set on Christmas Eve”, it actually takes place at Yarralumla Woolshed on December 12 and 13. ARTIST Marie Hagerty, and CMAG curator Mark Bayly have been busy judging the 130 entries in the $1000 M16 Artspace 2014 Drawing Prize, to be announced on Friday, December 5 with the accompanying exhibition on show until December 19. M16 will then close and reopen on January 22.

WESLEY Music Vocal Scholars Sarah Campbell, Joshua Knol, Louise Keast, Zanele Ramsay and Katrina Wiseman will perform in Wesley Music Centre’s “Wednesday Lunchtime Live” concert, 12.40pm-1.20pm on Wednesday, December 10. TEMPO Theatre will be back in 2015 doing their favourite thing – murder. First up will be an Agatha Christie classic, “Spider’s Web,” directed by Tempo’s Jon Elphick. The show will also tour to the recently-finished Tin Shed Theatre in Cootamundra. Even more exciting, Bob Morris and Michael Weston are staging that delicious black comedy “Arsenic and Old Lace”, in which innocent nephew Mortimer discovers that his sweet old aunties are serial murderers.
