Attempted burglary at Knightsbridge Penthouse

ACT Policing has charged a 36-year-old man of no fixed abode following a burglary at a Braddon night club early this morning (July 28).

About 4.55am, police received a report from a staff member that a person was attempting to break into the Knightsbridge Penthouse night club through a rear window.

Police arrived at the location within minutes and commenced a search of the building. Police located a man wearing dark clothing and a black paintball mask, hiding in a storage shed in the rear courtyard. He was in possession of cutting tools, gloves and a torch.

About 5am, police arrested the 36-year-old man of no fixed abode. He was subsequently conveyed to the ACT Watch House and charged with burglary. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.
