A grand time was apparently had by all at the Mother’s Day Classic fun run around Lake Burley Griffin.

Surprisingly for lake goers post race even Sir Robert Menzies appeared to be getting in the spirit decades after Australia’s longest serving PM shuffled off this mortal coil.

No doubt it helps to be remembered in bronze.
