Bonython man unlicensed and DUI in Dickson

A 50-year-old Bonython man will face the ACT Magistrates Court after he was caught driving without a license and intoxicated in Dickson on Friday morning (11 April).

About 10.30am, police detected a black Forde Falcon sedan being driven erratically on Antill Street, Dickson. Police activated their warning lights and sirens and the vehicle came to a stop.

The 50-year-old male driver underwent a roadside alcohol screening test and returned a positive result. The male was conveyed to City Police Station and underwent a breath analysis which recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.160.

Police enquiries revealed that the male’s driver’s license had recently expired.

The 50-year-old Bonython man will face the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date in relation to driving without a license and impaired driving.
