Branch Out Disability Services was officially launched at Carers ACT Hub in Holt. Branch Out provides Canberra and surrounding regions with a range of innovative, individually tailored, group and lifestyle activities.

“We currently support more than 60% of families who will have eligible participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Branch Out Disability Services build on Carers ACT’s expertise in providing proven, highly valued and innovative disability services to Canberrans for many years. The services have been co-designed with individuals and their families with a focus on enabling people with disability to live the life they choose, learn independent living skills, form solid friendship groups, build confidence and enjoy being part of the local community. All services are flexible, individually tailored, and offered in a safe, trusted and welcoming environment,” Carers ACT CEO Dee McGrath said.

Branch Out offers flexible services including:

  • 24/7 Residential Home Away From Home Respite – in North and South Canberra
  • Friendship Club – Weekend Getaways with Friends
  • Branch Out Café
  • All Day Activities Club
  • After School Club

Carers ACT was established in the ACT more than 22 years ago and is a leading not for profit organisation whose purpose is to support carers in their caring roles and provide quality care to the people they care for.
