Brought undone by Dogman, Ryan Taylor has no more luck with the appeal court

The accomplice in the infamous Kaleen Caltex robbery, Ryan Taylor, has lost a battle against his sentence in the ACT Court of Appeal.

Justices Murrell, Refshauge, and Penfold were not moved by his argument that it was unusual to have a non-parole period make up 70% of a head sentence.

“Although, in the ACT, non-parole periods generally fall within the range of 50 – 70% of the total term, error is not established by showing that a non-parole period falls outside this range,” Chief Justice Murrell ruled.
