Brown water warning for Farrer

glass of water

ACTEW Water will be undertaking works in Farrer on Wednesday which may result in temporary discolouration of water in the area.

Streets that may be impacted are those bordered by Dookie Street, Farrer. The works will provide for new connections for residential developments in the suburb.

Whilst it is difficult to predict to what degree the water will be affected, ACTEW Water advises that any discolouration will clear with normal use. If residents experience ongoing discolouration beyond Wednesday, 12 November 2014, please contact the ACTEW Water Faults team on 6248 3111.

Residents are advised not to use washing machines and dishwashers during this period of possible water discolouration, as it may stain clothing or clog filters. ACTEW Water does not recommend drinking water that appears, smells or tastes objectionable.
