Can $3 million fix Woden?

woden thingy

ANDREW Barr has announced a plan to spend $3.25 million on getting Woden to the point where something serious can be done to fix it.

“The work to be undertaken includes constructing new stairs, ramps and lighting that will greatly improve public safety and access to the Woden Town Square from the interchange on Bowes Street,” Andrew said.

“It also includes de-coupling the interchange to several privately owned buildings as well as other preparatory works to allow for the town centre and new bus interchange development to occur.”

At the end of the process it is hoped Callam Street will serve as Woden’s main street.
