A COMEDY show in Civic tomorrow will raise money for Pollinate Energy, an organisation that works in the urban slums of India to improve the livelihoods of the poor through access to sustainable energy solutions.
Money raised by the “Light up a Life Comedy Gala” at the Civic Pub tomorrow will go towards solar powered systems, training small business operators and supporting the first year of business.
Some of the ACT’s best-known comedians, Hamish Hudson, Emo Parsonson, Chris Ryan, Jay Sullivan and Tom Gibson, will bring on the laughs as patrons reach into their pockets for a good cause.
The event was organised by Gordon resident Rabekah Lum, who was selected to participate in Pollinate Energy’s Young Professionals program.
“Light up a Life Comedy Gala”, Civic Pub, 8 Lonsdale Street Braddon, 7:30PM for 8PM, Friday, February 28. Tickets at the door for $25. Event is upstairs. 18+ event.
