CHIEF Minister Katy Gallagher has proudly announced the ACT is again ahead of the rest of the country when it comes to getting our children immunised.

A new report has shown that immunisation rates for Canberra children in several categories are higher than the national average, and children in the one, two and five-year-old categories received higher than a 92 per cent rate of immunisation, Chief Minister and Minister for Health, Katy Gallagher, said today.

The Chief Minister welcomed the latest National Health Performance Authority report on immunisation coverage rates.

“Immunisation is an important feature in our health system and it is great to see that the rates of immunisation in the ACT are very high particularly in some of the youngest age group categories,” the Chief Minister said.
