Is this Canberra’s oldest pothole?

IN June we noted our dismay at the vast pothole lurking at the entrance to the Bailey’s Corner car park.

Smartly enough a horny handed son of toil was dispatch to throw a desultory shovel full of asphalt at the ravenous beast.

This appears to have only made it stronger.

Wise heads at “CityNews” have come to wonder, is this baby sarlacc in fact Canberra’s biggest and oldest pothole?

If you know of a bigger or longer running one do please take a photograph and send it in to john@citynews.com.au .

The other question that remains is does it have to consume the Canberra Museum and Gallery before something is done about it?
