Congratulations to the ACT’s outstanding Year 10 students

year 10

JOY Burch has presented awards to 73 Year 10 students from ACT public high schools to recognise their excellence in education.

“It was a privilege to present awards to the students from 25 public high schools and colleges as part of the 2014 Year 10 Excellence Awards for Outstanding Achievement in the High School Years,” Joy said.

“These students show the depth of talent in our public schools in areas such as academic excellence, perseverance, sportsmanship, artistic and musical ability, integrity and leadership.

“With any personal achievement, there are always people behind the scenes who contribute.

“The success of these exemplary young people is a reflection of the excellent teachers who work in our public schools and have been instrumental in their students’ achievements.”

Paperchain Bookstore Manuka sponsored the awards for the sixth consecutive year, providing a $50 book voucher to each award winner.

“I’d like to thank Roger and Maxeme Tall from Paperchain Bookstore Manuka for their ongoing sponsorship of the event and for their dedication to public education in the ACT,” Ms Burch said.
